Akram Khatoon

 

Akram Khatun is the current Chairperson/President of OZWF. She has had a long and prominent career in banking. She has served as President of the First Women's Bank Limited. She has a strong interest in social welfare work and has been part of Ozma Zafar Women's Foundation from the start. She is currently Vice Chancellor of Fatima Jinnah Women's University.

Qamar Jahan Begum

 

Mrs Qamar Jehan Begum is currently Vice Chairperson/Vice President, has been associated with the OZWF for the last two decades, having served as Treasurer for many years. She is a founding member of the Lionesses Club in Karachi which merged with the Lions Club in the 90’s. Mrs. Qamar Begum is an avid social worker who has helped build homes, provide avenues for learning and education, and support the Burns ward at Civil Hospital Karachi, among various other philanthropic initiatives.

Nigar Sultana

She has graduated from University of Karachi and is a social worker for the past 25 years. Currently, she is Treasurer at ‘Ozma Zafar Foundation’. It always fascinates her to help others, listen to their problems and to solve them. She always dreamed about opening an old age home. She has looked after a reputable personality, Mrs. Maya Jamil a Professor of University of Karachi, for almost 22 years and now is looking after her daughter.  "Somewhere along the way, we must learn that there is nothing greater than to do something for others."- Martin Luther King Jr.

Moana Ansari

​

Moana Ansari has a background in banking and became interested in social welfare work. She is also an artist. She joined Ozma Zafar Women's Foundation quite early on in the history of the organisation and has also served as its Honorary Treasurer in the recent past.

Leena Ahmed

​

Leena Ahmed trained first as an architect at the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture and practiced for a few years before becoming a full-time musician as a tabla player, piano player and composer. Leena divides her time between Bahrain and Karachi. She is part of the Sub-Committee working for Art, Culture and Community of the Pakistani Women's Association in Bahrain.

Hina Athar Khan

 

Ms. Hina is currently working as Head of Strategy and Project Implementation at JS Bank Limited. She is a development and public sector consultant specializing in the delivery of government and international development projects. Most recently, Ms. Khan was engaged as Project Manager for the European Union’s flagship project – Promotion of Human Rights in Pakistan. Before that, she had served in a consulting capacity at the Prime Minister’s Office for three and a half years. She had also worked for DFID-UK’s project on Transforming Education in Pakistan in the capacity of a Knowledge Management Specialist. Hina holds a BSc. (Hons.) degree in Quantitative Economics and Mathematics from the University of Toronto. Other Directorships / Trusteeships: Non-Executive Director - JSCL

Faiza Mufti

Faiza Mufti is a homemaker and social worker. She has travelled extensively and enjoys experiencing new places. She has served on the Accounts Committee of the organisation.

Najwa Ghani

​

She recently completed her Master's in Human Resources from Dadabhoy Institute of Higher education and Bachelors from University of Karachi. Whereas, she did her internship from Standard Chartered Bank while completing her A levels from Bayview High School and was awarded with Principal’s honor twice.  She believes, “Happiness comes when your work and words are of benefit to yourself and others” - Buddha
